British response to debt crisis

World economic mire continues to dominate the political agenda as Europe struggles to deal with the Greek debt crisis.
Yesterday's pledge of support for Greece from German chancellor Angela Merkel and French president Nicolas Sarkozy has done little to assuage fears in the financial markets.
Finance ministers from across the globe are currently attempting to plot a course through the murky economic crisis but are struggling against a backdrop of disagreements.
The UK's position remains a tricky one as it is not in the Eurozone but uncertainty on the continent is having a direct effect on UK market confidence and economic recovery.
