Border controls relaxed

A decision to relax passport checks at Britain's borders this summer is attracting criticism.
Home secretary Theresa May finds herself in the hot seat as union chiefs claim the move could only have been sanctioned by ministers.
The decision to loosen border checks because of long queues this summer has potentially let thousands of illegal immigrants into Britain.
Immigration remains a politically sensitive area for the government. The opposition is also focusing on terror suspects being allowed into the country as a result of the move.
Unions are also using the issue to draw attention to the impact of spending cuts on public services.
