The bitter tussle over voting reform will be decided tomorrow as voters head to the polls to decide whether to switch to the alternative vote (AV).

Politicians of all colours have been making the case for and against replacing first-past-the-post in the final hours before the referendum.

Polls show the 'no' campaign is substantially ahead but turn-out is expected to be low.

Tensions within the coalition have reached breaking point after Liberal Democrat energy secretary Chris Huhne reportedly accused prime minister David Cameron and chancellor George Osborne of spreading lies about the cost of a change.
