Barroso: These are exceptional measures for exceptional times

European commission president José Manuel Barroso responds to the new Greek rescue package agreed at the European summit last night:

"These are exceptional measures for exceptional times ... Europe must never again find itself in this situation.

"Europe will do what it takes to safeguard financial stability. I've always said this is a marathon, not a sprint."
