Warsi: Labour jilted young people
Monday, 23 May 2011 12:00 AM
Baroness Warsi, Tory party chairman, comments on Ed Miliband's 'jilted generation' speech:
"It was Labour who jilted young people. Under them, youth unemployment rose by 40 per cent, educational standards fell and they undermined our pensions system. They did all this while running up billions on the nation's credit card, and burdening future generations with the bills for their massive debt.
"Ed Miliband has given two speeches in three days without offering any answers or alternatives. He is relegating Labour to a party capable of nothing more than carping from the sidelines."
