Khan: Labour must represent the ‘overwhelming majority’

Sadiq Khan makes his pitch to become a member of the shadow Cabinet, in a letter to MPs published on the LabourList blog:

“Labour in opposition must be a pro-active and positive force for change, a party which in our outlook, our values and our agenda reflects British society. The shadow Cabinet must above all exemplify this.

“We must develop campaigns, messages and a policy agenda relevant to every community and every household, and show that Labour is the only party that will deliver a fairer, more equal and prosperous Britain for the overwhelming majority of people.”
